Cedar Lee Call for Artists

Overview

Heights Arts and LAND studio, in partnership with the Cedar Lee neighborhood, invite artists to submit qualifications for the creation of 4–6 murals throughout the Cedar Lee District in Cleveland Heights. One artist will be selected for each mural and paired with a participating building owner to develop a site-specific artwork. 

These murals will celebrate and enhance the arts and culture that define the Cedar Lee neighborhood, reinforcing Cleveland Heights’ reputation as a vibrant, creative community, and home of the arts. 

There will be an artist information session held November 12th at the Cleveland Heights Library from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. that is free and open to anyone interested in the project.

Qualifications

Please complete the form below to submit your materials by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, for consideration for the Cedar Lee Arts District Murals project.

Important Notes

• This is a call for artists to create new, site-specific murals in the Cedar Lee District.

• Open to professional artists 18 years or older living in Northeast Ohio with a meaningful connection to Cleveland Heights.

• No prior mural experience is required, but artists with prior mural or public art experience may receive priority consideration.

• Selected artists will receive a budget of $15,000–$25,000 per mural, inclusive of artist fees, materials, and installation costs.

Timeline

• Information Session: November 12, 2025 – Cleveland Heights Library (Lee Road)

• Submission Deadline: December 3, 2025, by 11:59 p.m.

• Artist Notifications: End of January 2026

• Mural Completion: Summer 2026
