Overview

Each year, since 2009, LAND studio partners with the Cleveland Public Library to activate its downtown Eastman Reading Garden with temporary public art through its See Also program. In 2021, the See Also program expanded beyond downtown, to the Harvard-Lee Branch, which features a rotating art space that inspire artists and residents alike.

The program initiates creative, innovative, and thought-provoking works of art that add to the Library’s broad range of cultural programming. The term “see also” refers to an idea in library cataloging, which means “look here, but also look for related terms that cover similar topics.” Connecting a wide range of topics and ideas to one another through artwork helps strengthen the Cleveland Public Library’s dedication to providing information, programs, and materials that are interactive, inclusive and engaging to the public.
