Overview

In the summer of 2025, LAND studio partnered with Graphic Rewilding (Lee Baker & Catherine Borowski) and University Hospitals to transform an existing rooftop garden at UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Hospital into a vibrant healing space for patients, staff, and visitors.

This project was made possible by the generous support of The Char and Chuck Fowler Family Foundation.

About the Art

Graphic Rewilding, consisting of Catherine Borowski and Lee Baker, transform urban spaces around the world into immersive explosions of colour. Their large-scale installations bring nature back into urban contexts - inspired by wild flowers, Japanese sumi-e painting and the graphic clarity of Patrick Caulfield and Michael Craig-Martin.

For Angie’s Garden, they have created a work that is as playful as it is poetic: entitled ‘The Fleeting Opulence of Nature', it celebrates the ephemeral splendour of the natural world - with a homage to local flowers such as sunflowers, lavender, yarrow, foxgloves, impatiens, daisies, cone flowers, St John’s wort, wisteria, peonies and tansy.

The result is a colourful panorama that transforms the rooftop terrace into a luminous riot of healing colour, inviting visitors to linger, marvel and discover in the middle of an urban space.
