CLEVELAND, Ohio — Need something to do this winter that keeps you warm and indoors? We suggest checking out the floral immersive exhibit “The Archive” at the Cleveland Public Library in downtown Cleveland.
The exhibit by British artist Rebecca Louise Law is on display in Brett Hall at the library through the end of May 2024.
“The Archive will be a sensory journey for visitors to Cleveland Public Library,” said Tiffany Graham Charkosky, Director of Arts and Culture at Cleveland Public Library, in an article announcing the exhibit posted on the library’s website. “The Archive is a vibrant reminder of the Library’s role as a guardian of knowledge and a portal to limitless imagination. It encourages visitors to explore the delicate interplay between words and nature.”
More than 50,000 locally sourced waste flowers were donated for the project. The flowers and other plants have been dried and are suspended from the ceiling in the hall.
The hall is open during regular library hours, Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. There is no charge for admission. The library is located at 325 Superior Ave.
The display opened in June 2023 with curating help by LAND studio in Cleveland.
