Lacy Talley, a dynamic artist and graphic designer from Cleveland, OH, is celebrated for her vibrant acrylic paintings blending Afro-Futurism and Surrealism, inspired by crystals.
With a BA in Visual Communication Design and a minor in Pan-African Studies from Kent State University, Lacy’s skills span acrylics, resin, clay, and digital art, influenced by her experiences in Ghana and Senegal.
As an Art Director, Lacy collaborated with brands like Spotify, Moet Hennessy, and Cadillac and partnered with Maker’s Mark for their Art & Soul Program, championing emerging Black Creators. She contributed to NBA and Marcus Graham Project projects, including designing the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Social Justice Champion Award and Cleveland Summit location marker.
Lacy’s commitment to art and community shines through exhibitions like Discover the Promise at Cleveland City Hall, her collaboration with Canvus on “The Sanctuary of Dreams, Imagination, and Abundance,” installation now at Every Child’s Playground in Avon, OH, and her “I AM” Affirmation Paint and Sip classes. Passionate about nurturing young talent, she shares her knowledge and love for up-cycling as an art educator, working with the Center of Arts Inspired Learning and Karamu House. Her residencies at Zygote Press and Karamu House reflect her ongoing dedication to artistic excellence, showcasing her boundless creativity and passion for art and design.
