Euclid Avenue Planters

About the Work

Mark A. Reigelman II, a Cleveland Institute of Art graduate, was commissioned to design decorative planters for lower Euclid Avenue. The shape of the planters suggests the paper wrapping surrounding a bouquet of flowers purchased from a street vendor.

The planters were designed for seasonal plantings that enhance the visual character of Euclid Avenue. Through its ongoing downtown beautification program, LAND studio has taken the lead on the design and installation of the plantings.

More than 200 of the artist designed planters are located throughout downtown Cleveland.  LAND studio's beutification team oversees the landscape design and seasonal planting each year.

How It Started

LAND studio is collaborating with the Downtown Cleveland Alliance (DCA) to bring the work of artists and designers to the streets of downtown. The Euclid Avenue planter project is one accomplishment of this collaboration.
