Buckeye Road Gets a Little Love

Cleveland's public art program reaches 10 wards with $2.5M in work by 40 artists since 2003

CLEVELAND, Ohio - In its little-known role as a cultural patron, the city of Cleveland has spent $2.5 million since 2003 on public art installations by 40 artists in 10 of its 17 wards.

State grant aids Cleveland Metroparks' lakefront connector trail (photos)

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland Metroparks system has won an $850,000 Clean Ohio Grant that will help cover a connecting trail between Edgewater and Whiskey Island.
 
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources administers the grant program.
 
This follows receipt of an $8 million federal TIGER grant in late July. The name is an acronym for Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery.

Big dreams start to become a reality

Plans for the Red Line Greenway (RLG), a three-mile elevated linear park spanning Cleveland’s west side and downtown, originated as a pie-in-the-sky dream more than 40 years ago by Rotary Club of Cleveland member Stan Adams and two other founders.
